Indonesia Game Show dan Jakarta Game Show Will Kick Off This October

Indonesian gamers will be treated to a rare occasion this October, with two major game oriented events being held at the same venue. Gamers might find themselves excited and confused at the same time as Indonesia Game Show and Jakarta Game Show are scheduled to run within a few weeks of each other.

Indonesia Game Show will be held on October 12-14, 2012 at the Jakarta Convention Center. Based on the event’s poster received by DailySocial, Indonesia Game Show will stage many activities starting from talkshows with local and International game developers, mobile gaming competitions, overlocking and gaming contests, online game competitions, console game competitions, cosplay competition and International cosplay icon exhibition.

This is the second  Indonesia Game Show, held for the first time in November 2008. Organized by Gamestation Magazine, Mediatama Binakreasi and Rapture Gaming, this event incorporates World Cyber Game 2012 : Road to China, Electronic Sports World Cup, The Games Expo: Road to Malaysia, and Game Developer Award.

Meanwhile, at the end of October, from October 31 to November 2, 2012 to be exact, there will be Jakarta Game Show 2012. The event that will take place at the same time with Indocomtech and Jakarta Motorcycle Show is also the second that carries this name. Last year, Jakarta Game Show 2011 also took place at the same time with Indocomtech.

At the moment you won't find any detailed information about Jakarta Game Show from its Facebook or Twitter accounts, or even from its website. But based on last year's event, Jakarta Game Show looks like it will have console game competitions, mobile game competitions and cosplay competition.

This year, the organizers of these events have to be smart for their event to run successfully. Let’s hope that next year, there will be schedule adjustment so game enthusiasts, publishers and producers won’t get confused in determining which event to attend.
