Facilitating Consumer's Development, LinkedIn Explained Its Services in Detail

Having three million of users is all it takes for Indonesia to get included as one of LinkedIn’s most prospective markets.  In fact, the company has just decided to assist its users in the country in optimizing their own LinkedIn profiles by initiating a seminar which aimed to assist them building their own professional networks. LinkedIn emphasized that professionalism is crucial not only for employees, but also entrepreneurs as well.

Deepa Sapatnekar, the Head of Communications of LinkedIn for India and Hong Kong region, stated that Indonesia is placed third at the company’s most-growing-number-of-users list. It shows that in Indonesia, LinkedIn indeed has a broad market to enter.

At the “Makeover Day” event in Senayan, South Jakarta, last Thursday (18/9), Deepa explained LinkedIn’s functions in detail. He stated that LinkedIn would perfectly help users should they want to add more contacts to their list and push their professional career even further.

Users may also regard LinkedIn’s services as their own personal elevator pitch. In this regard, serving a professional display of themselves could be quite fundamental for their own long-term career, even though they’re not in the mood to look for jobs at the moment, as such leap may attract the employers to look at their qualifications and, in result, come to them.

“LinkedIn has more than 313 million of users and around 300 thousands types of jobs all over the world. Thus, it’s not impossible that someone out there is currently seeking for a person with your qualifications,” Deepa told DailySocial.

It seems that connection becomes one of fundamental points for someone’s career. Given that fact, LinkedIn allows its users to express their point of view or personal interests at certain trends of industry to build their own connection. One of users who makes use of this facility is Traveloka’s Head of Partnerships, Tantia Dian Permata. She emphasized that it is crucial to perfect the LinkedIn profile, as it may open better chances of having better career.

“Enhancing our profile page may indirectly lead others to respect us even better,” Tantia stated.

In line with Tantia, Creative Hothouse’s Head of Communications Asmara Wreksono added that the enhancement of LinkedIn profile page does not only refer to giving exceptional personal description, but also posting stunning profile photo as well.

The initiation of introducing LinkedIn’s services in details might be the company’s first step towards a more comprehensive involvement in Indonesia. That being said, it’s not impossible that in the future, LinkedIn, which had its IPO in last 2011, would establish its own office in the country, just like what Facebook and Twitter have done.
